Spatial Data Files
The content in this section is a combination of externally hosted and linked spatial data files and resources.
This focus area supports communities, organizations, and practitioners in using data, geospatial technologies, and analytical tools to understand place-based issues and support informed decision-making. Building on geospatial foundations, this work includes mapping, spatial analysis, and projects that rely on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geographic data to explore patterns, relationships, and local conditions.
Grounded in community informatics, Data & Spatial Technology emphasizes both tools and capacity building. We provide training and support in technologies such as GIS, Tableau, QGIS, R, and other software, along with applied projects that connect technical methods to real community questions. Together, these efforts help make spatial and data-driven insights more accessible and useful for planning, resource management, and community development.
